After our old machine had given up (after 4 years of great coffee making) I headed to the shops to look for a new little friend to kick start my days. After lots of running from one shop to another and a bit of sales talk here and there, I ended up in front of the DéLonghi Nespresso Pixie. I must say, I was more than impressed with the design. The sales girl offered me a coffee and I was shocked how easy it was to make it. Looking back at my old machine that always left a big mess I really couldn't believe how clean the process of making a cup was with this cute little gadget. It didn't take very long to convince me. Every fortnight I've got my girlfriends coming over with their kids and while the four little girls tried on their beautiful new toddler dresses from Little White Wardrobe, I showed off my new modern mini miracle of coffee technology. I bought three different flavors and we liked all of them. Pros: Smaller than the toaster, perfect for a small kitchen. Makes good coffee. Very fast. Simple to use. Removes all the guesswork for a novice. Milk frother is good for mixing other hot or cold drinks also. Beautifully designed!
Cons: Nespresso capsules are an expensive necessity and a nuisance to have to order by phone or web.
Overall: Very pleased with the machine so far. Compact and easy to use. Even my daughters can make a coffee using this!

As a mum of two little girls I how how vital a good cup of coffee in the morning can be to start the day on the right foot. It is one of my rituals to head to the kitchen, turn on the coffee machine and make myself a nice, warm cup of coffee.
